Didn't work shortcut came up for IE?

I tried what the poster suggested, but when the shortcut came up it was for IE and not Firefox.

You can set a shortcut for a website by going to your desktop, right-clicking in an empty space thereof, and and pointing to New -%26gt; Shortcut. You'll asked to enter the shortcut or browse. Just type the web address there and click next, name it, and click Finish. Now, to get it to start in Firefox, you'll have to set Firefox as your default browser. This can be done in numerous ways.

1. Open up Firefox, click on "Tools" (at the top), go to "Options," click on the "Main" tab, and on the bottom you'll see a checkbox asking whether you want to check if it's primary browser on open. Click "Check now." If it says it's not, make it.

2. Go to "Start," -%26gt; "Default Programs." In the Browser section, selet Firefox.

Hope that works!

Are you trying to get a shortcut for your firefox onto your desktop? If so then Right click on your desktop and go to new. Then click shortcut and hit browse. Click on the + sign next to your hdd, mine is C. Go to program files and scroll down to Mozilla firefox. Click on that and scroll down to Firefox.exe and hit ok. You will now have a shortcut to your firefox on your desktop. Hope this answered your question.
then try to go to www.mozillafirefox.com and download it from there, or download Internet Explorer(IE) and download it from there, and then download mozilla firefox and then deleat Internet Explorer. and then use mozilla firefox.
